327. Barack Obama Plaza, Moneygall Ireland

Why
It’s pretty strange albeit cool to be driving down the motorway in Ireland and see a sign for Barack Obama Plaza. Well, that’s what happened when I visited Ireland recently and my driver stopped there for tea. You should do the same when heading on the M7.
Where
The Barack Obama Plaza is located between Limerick and Dublin on the M7 motorway.
How To Get Here
You need a car to get to the Plaza or ask your driver to make a stop once you arrive in Ireland. Just use Google Maps to locate it.
By Train
Train service in Ireland is provided by Irish Rail. You can take trains from various cities around the country. There is not a train to Moneygall though.
By Plane
The closest major airport to the Barack Obama Plaza is the Shannon Airport (SNN).

The Bus Eireann will take you to Moneygall, then you can take a cab out to the Plaza. The buses are very reliable and comfortable with wifi.

If you are already in Ireland or Europe, renting a car is a great option as you can explore on your own. Just use a service like Google Maps for directions. The ferries to Ireland do take cars so no worries there.
By Shared Ride
You can try a service like Carpool Ireland.

What To Do
Check out the museum that’s is located on the top floor. I learned quite a bit about the American History there and I’m sure you will too. There’s also a statue of President Kennedy as well.
