Chișinău, Moldova. Not many people visit this part of the world and should. Its rich in history, much cheaper than most places in Europe, the people won’t smile, but say hello and they will and you’ll also see some old building and cars as well. I was fortunate to make this trip with Jay Way Travel.

Pronounced “chisow”, Chișinău, Moldova is the capital of Moldova. Moldova is a land-locked country located between Romania and the Ukraine and has access to even lesser known Transnistria.
How To Get Here
By Train
You can take a train to Chișinău, Moldova. Start your booking to Moldova at RailEurope or Eurail. It has a very beautiful train station with some really old trains too.

Eurolines has service to Moldova from points in the rest of Europe. You are taken to the main train station in Chișinău, which is really beautiful by the way. There also service by Gara Auto.

There are plenty of places to stay including Radisson Blu which has a pretty amazing SkyBar with great music, food and atmosphere. Where To Eat
You can find a good array of places for a meal. They also have a pretty cool coffee house as well. And if you want American food, there is a McDonald’s too.
There is good beer, lots of wine and their own bubbly.
