Darwin is located on the north coast of Australia. This is in the Northern Territory county. You can read about other unfamiliar destinations in Australia. 

 

How To Get Here

By Train

There is train service to Darwin from select Australian cities. You can go from say Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane to name a few. The journey times is quite lengthy though. Head over to Transport for NSW to book.

By Plane

Darwin International Airport (DRW) is the only airport serving the city and the busiest airport serving the Northern Territory and the tenth busiest airport in Australia.

The following airlines has service to Darwin International Airport (DRW):

Airnorth (TL), Jetstar Airways (JQ), Jetstar Asia (3K), Indonesia Air Asia (QZ), Malaysia Airlines (MH), Philippine Airlines (PR), Qantas (QF), SilkAir (MI), Tiger Air Australia (TT) and Virgin Australia (VA).

By Bus

Greyhound Australia has bus service to Darwin from Alice Springs and then from Alice Springs to other parts of the country (Australia). Its a pretty long jaunt from Darwin to Alice Springs though; nearly 24 hours on an overnight bus. Darwinbus is the local service with Darwin.

By Car

If you are already in the region you can take the drive. Just use a service like Google Maps for directions.

What To Do

Darwin is a great walking city with lots to see and do. It’s rich in history; very rich as the city was bombed during World War II.
