Why Florence, Italy
Florence, Italy, it’s a pretty amazing city, but most usually visit the other major cities like Rome and Milan and then they may consider alternate cities such as Florence. Lots of people do visit Florence so it’s not so unfamiliar, but certainly not as familiar as the major cities. Check i tout and let me know if you agree that it too is worth visiting.

Florence is located in the northern part of Italy, Tuscany, south of Bologna and west of San Marino and Rimini.
How To Get Here
By Train
There is train service to the Florence’s Firenze Santa Maria Novella Train Station (Firenze SMN) as well as the Firenze Rifredi. Firenze SMN is the main station. Trenitalia, the national train service, offers service to/from FLorence all over Italy. You can also book your ticket at Rail Europe as well as ItaliaRail. Service is also provided by NTV (.italo) to select destinations within Italy.

By Plane
The closest major airport to Florence Airport, Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola (FLR).
You may also use the Bologna Airport, Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (BLQ) or the Federico Fellini International Airport (RMI) in Rimini.

Florence has a ton of hotels and other accommodations. Just take your pick and choose one that’s within proximity of where you’d like to explore and your night activities.

Where To Eat
Oh, this town has a lot of places to eat. Walk, follow the crowds and your noses. There’s also a fruit market a little ways out of town, but its worth checking out. And of course there’s ice cream and gelato.

What To Do
Like most Italian cities, it’s easy to walk Florence and enjoy what it has to offer. And boy does it have a lot to offer. Where do I begin?
The major attraction is the Duomo – Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore in Piazza del Duomo. When you get here, you have to wonder how all this was built way back when. And you can climb to the top.

There’s also the famous bridge, Ponte Vecchio, which in and of itself is amazing.

You can go shopping all over the place. Better deals are had on the side streets.
