Fredericksburg is located deep in the heart of Texas Hill Country. I did not make up that name, that’s what its called. Its just north of San Antonio and west of Austin both in Texas.

How To Get Here
By Train
Train service to San Antonio, TX (SAS) is provided by Amtrak. The Sunset Limited and the Texas Eagle routes both make a stop in the city. The station is located near the Alamodome. The Texas Eagle passes through Austin, TX as well, so take your pick of city. Then rent a car.
By Plane
The two closest airports to Fredericksburg is the Austin International Airport (AUS) and San Antonio International Airport (SAT).

Where To Eat
This place has tons of places to eat. Main Street is full of eateries, so just walk and take your pick. I ate at the Vaudeville which is a pretty high end restaurant with really good service and food.

What To Do
Walk and just check out the old stores on Main Street as well as the Museums. Not to be missed is Nimitz Plaza where the National Museum of the Pacific War; its like going back to the War time. It’s a bit moving walking through it. There are also a few Parks as well as the Wildseed Farms which has a winery and also beer. The poppy flowers as well as the Texas bluebells are just amazing if you go when they are in bloom. There’s also a trolley that will take you around town as well.
