Where

Kuranda, Queensland Australia is located just northwest of Cairns in a beautiful rainforest area.

How To Get Here

By Train

The Kuranda Scenic Railway will take you there. It’s one of the more scenic and peaceful train journeys I’ve ever taken. I suggest taking the train in one direction and the Skyway (gondola) in the other.

What To Do

The main attraction is to experience the rain forest. As such, I recommend taking the Skyrail up to Kuranda and then take the train back down or vice versa. Stop along the way on either mode of transportation so you can enjoy the area. Take your time and let it all in.

Along the way you stop at Baron Falls; take that in for a while…
