276. L’Estartit, Costa Brava
Why L’Esartit?
L’Estartit sits to the north of Barcelona at the top of what is called the Bay of the Roses. This is a huge Bay that arches along the east coast of Costa Brava. The beauty of the area is pretty amazing to see.
Where
L’Estartit is at the top of the Bay of the Roses on the eastern coast of Catalunya and sits south of L’Escala.
How To Get Here
There are a few ways to get here, lets look at them:
By Bus
There are national and local city buses in Spain to get you around.
The AMPSA Girona Bus will take you from Girona to L’Estartit. You can get lots of other buses to Girona from all over this region of Spain.
By Train
The Spanish rail service, Renfe serves the area. The closest train station is in Girona. From here you can take a local bus from just outside the station up to L’Estartit.
By Plane
The closest airport is Gerona, Spain (GRO). There is bus service from here to the Girona, then buses to L’Estartit.

brussels airlines (SN), Jet2.com (LS), Jetairfly (TB), Pobeda Airlines (DP), Ryanair (FR), Thomas Cook Airlines (MT) and Transavia (HV).
By Car
If you are already in the region you can take the drive. Just use a service like Google Maps for directions.
By Shared Ride
You can use ridesharing service BlaBlaCar.

Where To Eat
There are many places to eat here. Just remember that there is a siesta each day, which means places will be closed during this time. You may still find one or two places though that are still open. They do eat a bit later at night so be aware of that.
