Why
You are perhaps wondering why an airport is an unfamiliar destination. Well, this airport still has the same terminal from the early 1940s. The only other one I know of with a similar 1940 design is at Hobby-Airport, but that terminal is now a museum. The one in Long Beach is still in use!

The Long Beach Airport is located in Long Beach, California just north of the I-405 and between I710 and I605. It is south of Los Angeles and northwest of Santa Ana.
How To Get Here
By Train
The Long Beach Airport does not have a train station, however, Amtrak has service to the Long Beach Bus station, then you can take a taxi to the airport. There is also a Metro Rail station close to the airport. A taxi is also required from this station to get to the airport.
By Plane
This is an operating airport, the Long Beach Municipal Airport (LGB), so you can fly directly into the airport.

By Bus

There are places to eat at the airport, but you can head to the city of Long Beach for a meal. back in the day, people would go to the airport for meals. Some airports have some pretty cool restaurants as a result. There used to be one here called Legends of Aviation but it closed in 2014.
