How To Get Here
It is quite the journey to get here, but its very worth it.
By Train
You can take a train from Cusco to Puno using Peru Rail. Journey time is about 10 hours.
By Plane
The closest airport is Juliaca, Peru (JUL), which by the way is a high altitude airport at 12,549′ (3,825m). It is served by AviancaTACA (AV) and LAN (LA). It will be colder so dress warm when you get to the region.

By Bus
Once you get to the Juliaca Airport, it is then a journey by bus to Puno. There are shuttles leaving from time to time, just be patient.

If you are already in the region you can take the drive. Just use a service like Google Maps for directions.

What To Do
The biggest attraction here is Lake Titicaca. You can’t miss it :-). There are also other tours of islands and other items in the area. Plus Bolivia is just across the other side of the Lake. A visa may be required to get there though, so check that first.
Otherwise, spend some time walking through Puno and enjoy the people, the simplicity of their lives and their customs.
