Riga is Latvia in what is called the Baltics (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania). This region is quite beautiful and is totally worthy of your visit. The city is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Riga, Latvia is located in the Baltics sitting between Estonia in the north and Lithuania in the south with Russia to its east. The river Daugava runs through the city; it is the capital of Latvia.
How To Get Here
There is ferry service from Stockholm, Sweden and Travemünde, Germany to Riga.
There is train service from neighboring Estonia.
The closest airport is Riga International Airport (RIX), home of AirBaltic (BT).
