This is a beautiful town which sits at the base of the mountains. Also, its the town where a Winter Olympics was held (2002). Plus they have great craft beer and if you’re Mormon or love great music, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is there. All great reasons to visit.
Salt Lake City, Utah USA is located in the middle northern part of the state of Utah.
How To Get Here
There are no Amtrak stations in Salt Lake City, however, there are two bus stops from which you can take a bus to the train all bought as one ticket on the Amtrak Web site or via phone.
The area is served by Greyhound. There’s one stop at the airport and another downtown. Tufesa also provides service.
The nearest major airport is the Salt Lake City International Airport, Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC). It’s one of the hubs of Delta Air Lines (DL).
The following airlines serve the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC):
Air Canada (AC), Alaska Airlines (AS), American Airlines (AA), Boutique Air (4B), Delta Air Lines (DL), Frontier Airlines (F9), JetBlue Airways (B6), KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL), Southwest Airlines (WN) and United Airlines (UA).
If you are already in the region you can take the drive. Just use a service like Google Maps for directions.
Where To Stay
Lots of major hotel chains here so you’ll have no issues finding a place to stay. During the Olympics I could not, but that’s expected :-). I’ve stayed at the Radisson Blu before on subsequent visits and loved it.

What To Do
If you’ve never been to Salt Lake City, you definitely should go. It’s one of the coolest city in the U.S. I’ve visited. You can drink alcohol there, but its regulated. Like you have to show your hotel room key at certain places which makes it fun.
Visit the Mormon Tabernacle which is an amazing place. Plus if you are there in December (you have to get tickets beforehand) you can see the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform.
