198. Sibiu, Romania
Why Visit Sibiu, Romania?
For some reason I can’t pronounce the name of this city; Sibiu. Seems simple enough right? The owner of the Hotel Central Park hotel in Sighișoara (another interesting pronunciation) says just think C-B-U. So why should you go? It’s a quaint city with lots of history, cool churches, delicious food and friendly people and these are great reasons to visit Sibiu, Romania.
I did this trip compliments of JayWay Boutique Travel who organizes trips for the Eastern Europe region. They make it easy, well easier.
Sibiu is located in central Romania in the Transylvania region. It is almost due west of Brasov, another unfamiliar destination and southwest of Sighișoara.

Hire A Local
JayWay Boutique Travel provides this level of service. When I went they took care of it all for me. Even if you don’t want to use all the services of JayWay, its worth it to get a Guide once you arrive in Sibiu. Having a Guide made the trip so much more memorable.
Where To Stay
Sibiu holds its own with places to stay. You can find the likes of Accor, Hilton and Ramada plus local brands such as the Continental Forum Sibiu where I stayed. You can use any of the online travel agencies to find accommodations. Finding a place to stay is part of the JayWay Boutique Travel package.
Where To Eat
The food in Sibiu is actually quite good with various fantastic restaurants.
