185. Sighișoara, Romania
Why Sighișoara, Romania
Sighișoara, Romania is located in the Transylvania region of Romania and is the birthplace to Vlad the Impaler. There’s a cafe downstairs the house and you can just head upstairs and check out the room. I did this trip compliments of JayWay Boutique Travel who organizes trips for the Eastern Europe region. I have to say I did not have to do a thing, except show up and record my experience. Not having to plan makes it so much easier.
Sighișoara is located in central Romania in the Transylvania region. It is northwest of Brasov, another unfamiliar destination.

Hire A Local
JayWay Boutique Travel provides this level of service. When I went they took care of it all for me. Even if you don’t want to use all the services of JayWay, its worth it to get a Guide once you arrive in Sighișoara.
Where To Stay
The accommodations in Sighișoara are quite quaint. I stayed in an Old Post Office which was quite nice. Across the street is the Hotel Central Park and not too far away from the center of town is the DoubleTree. A place to stay is part of the JayWay Boutique Travel package.
Where To Eat
Lots of places to find local food in Sighișoara; just follow your nose. I ate compliments of JayWay Travel and the Central Park Travel just across the street from where I was staying and I can say it was quite good.
What To Do
The main attraction here is the Citadel and the home of Vlad Dracul. Vlad is a true character, but Dracula is not.
