Why
I found Sofia beautiful as well as challenging since English is not widely spoken and all the signs are in Cyrillic with little or no English translations. It was actually fun navigating from the bus station to the train to my hotel :-).

What To Do
The architecture alone in this city makes it worth visiting. I suggest just walking the city and taking it in. Be sure to see the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and go inside as well.
