Victoria Falls, Zambia - end of the gorge 0

If you’ve never seen the Victoria Falls, you need to do so. I’ve longed to see these for a very long time. So when the opportunity to work with Wild Dog Safaris in Namibia, I jumped at it. Most visitors only go to the Falls on the Zimbabwe side, but the Zambian side is pretty amazing as well. So make it your destination the next time you are in the area.

As small as small towns get this is it. This used to be the place where most who come to this area of Namibia get their supplies. Another place has opened up in Sesriem just south of here, but its still a place to stop. It also has accommodations as well in case you are tired and can’t make the entire trip. Plus the apple crumb pie is pretty amazing at the onsite Bakery.

This is my first time on a Game Reserve and its truly amazing. The landscape change so often, its unbelievable. From animals and birds in the wild, nothingness, to short trees, to a dry lake to a lone green tree with barren lands around it, this is Etosha.

It’s Africa that’s why? A pretty large city, well, its the capital of Namibia and the gateway to many safaris in the area. Although the area is dry and brown, its not as hot as you think. It’s a very modern city with very friendly people as well, not to mention a rich history.
