Why
Just look at this photo! I was visiting with two other friends and one of whom rented a car and we headed down. It was also fun driving on the other side of the road as well (Ireland drives on the left).

Just a bit south of Dublin, Ireland sits this country; its, rivers, mountains and coastlines that will make you go ahhh…. Did I mention that it was also green?

How To Get Here
By Train
Wicklow does not have have its own airport, so you have to fly into the likes of Dublin which is the closet major airport and then take a bus or a Irish Rail or rent a car and head southbound. The journey time by train is about an hour.
By Plane

I did a day trip to County Wicklow, so I did not stay in the town. Next time I will though. There are not many places, but I’m sure they are quaint.

Where To Eat
We walked around for a while and ate at a cool little place; very local. But there are restaurants in the town, so take your pick. Of course you must have a pint of Guinness and there are a few pubs to choose from.

What To Do
Walk, no seriously, walk. The town is pretty amazing, so just walk. Here are a few things to see though including the Old Gaol (that’s jail for you in English speakers).

- Visit the gorgeous scenery of Sally Gap
- Check out The Wicklow Way; this area is insanely beautiful, you won’t want to leave.
