It’s Africa that’s why? Windhoek, Namibia is a pretty large city, well, its the capital of Namibia and the gateway to many safaris in the area. Although the area is dry and brown, its not as hot as you think. It’s a very modern city with very friendly people as well, not to mention a rich history.
Windhoek is the capital of Namibia which is on the western coast of Africa in the southern part of the continent.
How To Get Here
There is rail service to Walvis City on the coast daily.
The nearest airport is the Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH), home to Air Namibia (SW).

There is bus service to other cities in the country as well as service to South Africa.
